Cree Booklets

Several booklets were published in the 1990s under the imprint of the Cree Family History Society with the series title Cree Booklets.

We have now re-published these in PDF (Portable Document Format). To read them you will need a piece of (free) software called Acrobat Reader. This can be downloaded from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com.

Please note that the booklets are copyright to the authors and to Mike Spathaky representing the publisher, Cree FHS. However you may download any booklet, print it and distribute it freely on a non-commercial basis, subject to the following conditions.

  • The booklet must be reproduced in its entirety without alteration, including the copyright notice.
  • Copies of the booklet may not be sold in any form, whether as a digital file or in printed form.
  • No booklet or part of a booklet may be reproduced as part of a collection or anthology without prior written permission of the publishers.

The following book is a facsimile of Hortus Addlestonensis, a book published by John Cree, nurseryman of Addlestone, Surrey, in 1829. It is a personal document file (PDF) of size 24 megabytes. It consists almost entirely of lists of plants available at John Cree's nursery. It may nevertheless be of interest to botanists and gardeners.
