College of Arms pedigree

This is the pedigree mentioned in the letter sent in 1981 by the College of Arms in London to Mrs S M Cree of of Soberton, Hampshire. See Grant of Arms to John Cree late of Calcutta. We have not previously had sight of the pedigree itself or even a full transcription because of the cost of having it transcribed by the College of Arms. However Trevor Cree has now (May 2014) obtained a transcription which is shown here. It confirms some aspects of the ancestry of John Cree, merchant of Calcutta. It also adds a significant amount of detail to what we knew of the individuals mentioned in it. It may yet help to shed light on the ancestry of John Cree himself.
