Hessie Cree was also known as Hettie Cree.1

Robert Cree's great-great-granddaughter Hessie Cree wrote in 1963:

Well (with) regards to the Cree family tree. Our folks are the Scotch-Irish. I can't say how far back but I know it's generations ago... My mother is still alive and she tells me the Crees came from Scotland. I often heard my father say his great-grandfather (Robert Cree) spoke with a Scotch accent... our homestead has been Cree's as far back as over 200 years. But my father's old home was sold. It's in the middle of four roads and it's called Cree's Corner.2 Hessie Cree was born on 2 April 1904 in Newtownards Reg Dist, County Down, Ireland.3 She was the daughter of Alexander Cree and Jane Milliken.
