Samuel Cree was born in 1715 or 1716.1 He was the son of Robert Cree (of Newtownards, Co. Down).2

Samuel Cree died on 25 March 1756.2 He was buried in Greyabbey Graveyard, Greyabbey, County Down, Ireland. "[At the top has been added later 'S. McCutcheon'] Here lieth the body of Samuel Crre [sic] who deperted this lief Mar the 25 1756 aged 40 years." Note that the name John MCutchin appears on the 1775 map of the farm of Samuel Cree's supposed brother John Cree. The grave of Samuel and Elizabeth McCutcheon is adjacent to Samuel Cree's grave. She died 1817 aged 65.3,4 Administration of Samuel Cree's estate was granted in 1756 in Greyabbey, County Down, Ireland. The admon. or bond does not survive but is listed in the index.5

Joseph Cree was born in 1874 or 1875 in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Marriott Cree and Catherine Emily Salmons.

On 3 April 1881 Joseph Cree was living in the household of Henry Marriott Cree and Catherine Emily Salmons in 30 Forest Road, Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, England, along with Edwin Cree and Albert Cree. Henry was a coal miner aged 27 and Catherine was also aged 27. The house appears to be next door to that of Henry's parents, and a few doors away from his brother Alfred Cree.1

Edwin Cree was born c May 1878 in Basford Reg Dist, Nottinghamshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Marriott Cree and Catherine Emily Salmons. Edwin Cree was baptised on 15 May 1878 in Church of St Mary, Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, England.2
