I have tentatively identified Thomas' father as Richard Richardson, with Thomas born to Sarah in 1804 in Shireoaks near Worksop and very near to the Chesterfield canal, a major transport route locally for coal and stone from 1780 or so... Martha's father was shown on the marriage certificate as William Cree, W[hite].Smith.. Both Martha and George are resident in Worksop at the time of marriage.3,2 "
