He retired after 61 years service. in 1942.1 He was a Senior Elder of the Broomhill Road Church of Christ and was also a founder member of this church. He had served as a District Secretary of the Nottingham Churches of Christ and served on the District Committee.
For many years, until blindness prohibited, he was a Lay Preacher within the Church of Christ.1

Arthur Bernard Cree died on 1 January 1969 in Nottingham Reg Dist. He was aged 87.10 He and Florence Mabel Holmes were interred in Bulwell Cemetery, Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, England.

Christian was now aged 76 and seems to have retired as no occupation is shown for her. Winnie and Christian are both still single and cotton weavers. There are two grandsons in the household, James Buitler aged 11 and Robert Mailer, 7.1

On 2 April 1871 Robert Mailer was living in the household of Winford Cree in Dunning, Perthshire, along with Christina Cree. "Wina" is now Head of the Household so her mother Christian must have died. She and her sister Christina are now woollen weavers. Robert Mailer is Winifred's nephew so presumably Christina's son. He is now 16 and a labourer.2

Mary Cree was born between 1841 and 1843 in Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of David Cree and Jean Kettles.

On 30 March 1851 Mary Cree was living in the household of David Cree in Auchterarder Road, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with Elizabeth Cree, James Cree, Ann Cree and Elizabeth Cree. David was now aged 41, a weaver and a widower. His daughter Elizabeth aged 16 and his sister Elizabeth aged 30 were both weavers.1

On 7 April 1861 Mary Cree was living in the household of David Cree in Newtown of Pitcairns, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with Elizabeth Cree and Elizabeth Cree. David is now an agricultural labourer aged 50. His daughter Elizabeth is aged 27 and a cotton weaver; Mary, 19, is a cotton winder. David's sister is still with the family but is now named Isabella.3

Her daughter Jane Cree was born in 1871.4,5

Her daughter Margaret Cree was born in 1873 in Dunning, Perthshire.5

Her daughter Elizabeth Cree was born in 1879 in Dunning, Perthshire.6

On 3 April 1881 Mary Cree was living in the household of David Cree in Kinross Road, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland. David is aged 70 and still a hand woollen weaver. His daughter Mary is aged 34 and an agricultural outdoor worker. There are three granddaughters present in the household: Jane Ferguson aged 14, who is also an agricultural outdoor worker; Margaret Comrie, 8, and Elizabeth Watson aged 1.4

On 22 May 1883 Mary Cree was living in Dunning, Perthshire.2

Mary Cree married William McLeod, son of John McLeod and Mary Bell, on 22 May 1883 in Dunning, Perthshire. The marriage was by "Proclamation." Mary was 40 years old and William was 57. Mary signed with her mark.7

Elizabeth Cree

All were born in Dunning. David's sister Isabella is still in the house, aged 51 and a woollen winder. (She is incorrectly described as "aunt," probably because her niece Elizabeth filled in the census form.)3

James was a railway platelayer and Ann had no occupation. Both were aged 42.4 Jane Cree was a witness at the marriage of Charles Laing and Janet Cree on 15 January 1892 in the Church of Scotland, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with George Laing; Janet was 19 years old and Charles was 21.5,6

Ann Cree died in 1892. She was aged 8. Myra Dinsdale reported that Ann died as an infant and implied she was the child of Janet Cree and Chalres Laing.2 She was buried in St Serf's graveyard, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with Janet Cree and Charles Laing.3
