He retired after 61 years service. in 1942.1 He was a Senior Elder of the Broomhill Road Church of Christ and was also a founder member of this church. He had served as a District Secretary of the Nottingham Churches of Christ and served on the District Committee.
For many years, until blindness prohibited, he was a Lay Preacher within the Church of Christ.1

Arthur Bernard Cree died on 1 January 1969 in Nottingham Reg Dist. He was aged 87.10 He and Florence Mabel Holmes were interred in Bulwell Cemetery, Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, England.

On 2 April 1871 Robert Mailer was living in the household of Winford Cree in Dunning, Perthshire, along with Christina Cree. "Wina" is now Head of the Household so her mother Christian must have died. She and her sister Christina are now woollen weavers. Robert Mailer is Winifred's nephew so presumably Christina's son. He is now 16 and a labourer.2

David was now aged 41, a weaver and a widower. His daughter Elizabeth aged 16 and his sister Elizabeth aged 30 were both weavers.1

On 7 April 1861 Mary Cree was living in the household of David Cree in Newtown of Pitcairns, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with Elizabeth Cree and Elizabeth Cree. All were born in Dunning. David's sister Isabella is still in the house, aged 51 and a woollen winder. (She is incorrectly described as "aunt," probably because her niece Elizabeth filled in the census form.)3

Both were aged 42.4 Jane Cree was a witness at the marriage of Charles Laing and Janet Cree on 15 January 1892 in the Church of Scotland, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with George Laing; Janet was 19 years old and Charles was 21.5,6

Ann Cree died in 1892. She was aged 8. Myra Dinsdale reported that Ann died as an infant and implied she was the child of Janet Cree and Chalres Laing.2 She was buried in St Serf's graveyard, Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland, along with Janet Cree and Charles Laing.3
