He had served as a District Secretary of the Nottingham Churches of Christ and served on the District Committee.
For many years, until blindness prohibited, he was a Lay Preacher within the Church of Christ.1

There are two grandsons in the household, James Buitler aged 11 and Robert Mailer, 7.1
