Elizabeth Lockhart
Female, CreeID#9128
Elizabeth Lockhart married Rev George Meiklejohn, son of John Meiklejohn and Helen Philp, before 1770. This would appear to have been a bigamous marriage since Mary Cree survived him and was described at her death in 1823 as Mary Cree, relict of George Mickeljohn, Preacher of the Gospel. Her year is also given in the reference.
It appears that George and Elizabeth had at least seven children, George, Jr., William, James, Robert, Elizabeth, Thomas and Catherine.1

Since she was illegitimate she never mentioned who her father might be and my aunt Sarah (her daughter) said it was a topic never to be discussed. Margaret went on to marry Marion Blaker and have a boatload of kids. My great grandma was raised by her grandparents William E. Cree and Martha Phillips Cree. My aunt Sarah was able to give me these names."
