Thomas was a general carter aged 47 and Francis (sic) was aged 49. Albert Cree aged 12 was born in Margate and described as their grandson, although it seems likely that he was Frances's grandson and not Thomas's.1

They were all born in Bredhurst which is some 30 miles (50 km) away. Wickhambreux is about 2 miles (3 km) from Fordwich.3
