Agnes Cree was born on 2 June 1878 in Newtownards Reg Dist, County Down, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Cree and Eliza Campbell.

Agnes Cree married William Sloan, son of George Sloan, on 18 September 1900 in St Annes Church of Ireland, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland. The ceremony was witnessed by Sarah Cree. William was 21 and a bricklayer of 10 Victoria Road, Bangor. Agnes was 22 and her address was 21 Brookmount Street, Belfast.2

Her daughter Sarah Sloan was born on 28 September 1906 in Abbey Street, Bangor, County Down, Ireland.2

Agnes Cree married Robert Sloan, son of George Sloan, on 19 November 1917 in St Annes Church, Belfast, Ireland. The witnesses were William Sinclair and Letitia Smith. It seems that Robert Sloan was the brother of Agnes Cree's first husband, although she was described as a spinster in the marriage record, possibly because such marriages were illegal until 1921. She was now aged 39. Robert was aged 36 and a labourer. Both were of 4 Barrow Street, Belfast.2
