Joseph Shacklock
Male, CreeID#11555, (c 1705? - )
Joseph Shacklock was born c 1705?. No baptism record has been found for Joseph Shacklock but his parentage is fairly certain as there is no other couple in the area, the dates fit, and the name Gertrude was used by Joseph and Hannah for a daughter. That daughter Gartrude the daughter also named a daughter Gartrude. He was the son of Francis Shacklock and Gartrude Stephenson.
Joseph Shacklock married Hannah Read on 28 September 1729 in Whitwell, Glamorgan, England. The parish register records that Hannah Read was "of this parish" (of Whitwell) while Joseph Shacklock was of Bolsover.1
His daughter Gartrude Shacklock was baptised on 21 November 1730 in Bolsover, Derbyshire, England.1
