ChartsLine 8. The Perth maltmen line
It has been suggested that Alexander Cree, progenitor of the Forteviot line, may be the same person as Alexander Crie from Perth, Scotland. Alexander Cree lived at Cala-fountain, which is little more than 2 km from the centre of Perth. The strong prevalence of the name Alexander in both lines supports this suggestion. Alexander Crie was born on 19 June 1673 in Perth.2 He was the son of Alexander Crie and Kathrine Angus.1 Alexander Crie was baptised on 22 June 1673 in Perth.2
