The aim of GENUKI is to serve as a "virtual reference library" of genealogical information that is of particular relevance to the UK & Ireland. It is a non-commercial service, provided by an ever-growing group of volunteers in co-operation with the Federation of Family History Societies and a number of its member societies.

GENUKI is a distributed set of web pages residing on a number of different web servers. It provides an organised framework for genealogical information for the UK and Ireland. This site on the cree.ie virtual server houses a small part of GENUKI:

• The Bolsover page which gives information of interest to historians and genealogists about this town and parish in NE Derbyshire

• Bolsover Surnames, a surname index to archive sources relating to Bolsover,

• Old Style and New Style Dates - unravelling the complexity of the calender changes of 1752.

• Counties and Countries in Britain and Ireland - helping those outside these islands through the complex systems for the naming of counties.
