The New Zealand Government Birth, Death and Marriage Historical Records

The New Zealand indexes record BDM events as follows:

• Births that occurred at least 100 years ago
• Marriages that occurred at least 80 years ago
• Deaths that occurred at least 50 years ago or the deceased's date of birth was at least 80 years ago.

It may be worthwhile to access the Historical Records web site directly to check the most recent entries.

CREE entries from the New Zealand Historical Records web site

In the following Cree index the BDM entries are merged into a single data set. The headings NameA and NameB in birth records refer to the father's and mother's forenames and in marriage records they refer to the spouse's surname and forenames. In the death records the Other column contains either the Age at Death or the Date of Birth.

If you find a person of interest to you in the spreadsheet and if a number is shown in the bright green column, make a note of that number which is the person's Cree ID number. Then enter the number into a QUICKSEARCH box to see their person details in the Cree Genealogy Database.
