Maltmen in Perth

Alexander Crie (c1605-1673) was a maltman and burgess of Perth and was contemporary with the Five Crie Brothers but there is firm evidence he was not their brother. His father is likely to have been William Crie, also a maltman and burgess (not the William Crie who was the father of the Five Brothers) but this is not proved. Alexander had a son and a grandson called Alexander Crie, both in Perth, but we have not traced any further descendants.
