What is interesting is that at her birth Elizabeth was registered as Elizabeth Duncan Cree.

It was recorded that George and Jane had had eleven children of whom ten were still alive. George signed the census return with his "mark" - an X - witnessed by the enumerator.4

On 2 April 1911 Arthur Cree was living in the household of George Cree and Jane Cree in 3 Ballycullo, Malone, County Antrim, Ireland, along with Margaret Jane Cree. George was a farm servant aged 61 and could read but not write. Jane was aged 60. Margaret was a dressmaker aged 24. Arthur was 19 and a tenter. It was recorded that George and Jane had had eleven children of whom ten were still alive. George signed the census return with his "mark" - an X - witnessed by the enumerator.3 Arthur Cree was a witness at the marriage of John Henry Ferris and Margaret Jane Cree on 12 April 1911 in Dunmurry Presbyterian Church, Dunmurry, County Antrim, Ireland; The other wirness was Edith Ferris. John Henry Ferris was a postman of Hillhall, Margaret was from Suffolk, Dunmurry, County Antrim.1

Arthur Cree died on 20 April 1914 in Lisburn, County Antrim.4

His son James Swan Cree was born on 10 October 1926 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.8

George Cree and Lizzie Carlisle arrived in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, on 1 May 1915. They had sailed from Liverpool on board the Metagama. George's uncle and aunt, Thomas and Lizzie Topping, also went with them.6 George Cree began military service on 15 April 1916. He signed his attestation papers. They showed year of birth as 1896.7

George Cree arrived in Canada on 2 July 1919. He was returning on board the Carona to be discharged from the army.7

In 1921 George Cree was living in the household of Lizzie Carlisle in 36 Anaren, Westmount, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, along with Samuel Cree.8

George Cree died on 13 January 1928 in McMasterville, La Vallée-du-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada.7 He was buried in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.7
