It seems likely that Katherine Brudenell D'Arcy Kirwan was related to Annette Kirwan (who married Edward Carson, the Ulster Unionist leader) even if distantly, but I have not been able to establish the relationship. [MS]
In 1991 Dr George Ewart Cree remembered that Katy Lopdell was a person his mother had talked about. Of course Katherine Brudenell D'Arcy Kirwan became Katy Lopdell on her marriage. She was born c February 1875 in Portsea Island Reg Dist, Hampshire, England.1
