Thomas was still a farm labourer and now 64; Ann was 57. Benjamin, Thomas and Joseph were coalminers.3

On 3 April 1881 Thomas Cree and Mary Calder were living in 13 Broderick Terrace, Westoe, South Shields, County Durham, England, along with Thomas Cree. Thomas was now a provision dealer.13
On 5 April 1891 Thomas Cree was living in 60 Ash Street, Benwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England. Thomas was now aged 61 and was a watchman at a shipyard. Mary was 57 and their son Thomas was a painter aged 21.14
On 31 March 1901 Thomas Cree and Mary Calder were living in 1 Gardner Street, Elswick, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England. Thomas was now 71 and a storekeeper at a shipyard. Mary was 67.15
