On 5 April 1891 Alexander Robert Cree was living in the household of Robert Thomas Crie in 21 Roselea Drive, Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, along with Christina Cree. Robert was 73 years old and an "Accountant in Public Office," Christina was 35 and a "Post Office Clerk" and Alexander was 29 and a "Clerk in Public Office."3

On 31 March 1901 Alexander Robert Cree was living in 229 Byres Road, Govan, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, along with Christina Cree. Alexander was aged 39 and a "Clerk to City Assessor" while Christina was 43. Their surnames were spelt Crie.4

On 30 March 1851 Samuel Cree and Jessie Jeffrey were living in 70 St James Road, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Samuel is aged 28 and a warper, Jessie is 24 and is named as Janet Cree.2

His daughter Martha Cree was born on 25 October 1851 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire.4

Samuel was a wool waper aged 48 and Janet was 45. Their son Andrew was 13 and an office boy. Samuel's niece is named as "Mary," aged 24 and her occupation is given as "Assistant Inspection." We suspect that she is actually Margaret Cree as she is 24, the same age as Margaret who was living with them in 1861. They also had a lodger, Donald McIntyre, a 29-year-old hot presser from Easdale.6

Samuel Cree was a wool warper.1

On 3 April 1881 Samuel Cree and Jessie Jeffrey were living in 283 Stirling Road, St Rollux, Barony, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, along with Andrew Gillon Cree. Samuel was a hand mill warper aged 58 and Janet was 45. Andrew was aged 23 and a commercial clerk.7

Samuel Cree died on 6 October 1883 in 283 Stirling Road, St Rollux District, Glasgow, Scotland. The informant was Andrew Gillon Cree.8

When we were kids we used to visit friends in the North of Scotland. We would always stop at the bridge at Biggar to spit in the burn, which was traditionally supposed to bring good luck. That's what Greatgreat aunts Nan and Nell (Helen Cree and Anne Cree) used to swear by according to my great great grandmother Christina."1 Christina Rough was born in 1882 or 1883.2 She was the daughter of Adam Rough and Ann Robb Cree.

On 31 March 1901 Jemima Cree was living in the household of Mary Cree in 184 Battlefield Road, Cathcart, Renfrewshire, Scotland, along with Helen Russell Cree, Marion Cree, Hugh Russell Cree and John Matthew Cree. Mary was 36 years old and a dressmaker and her sister Helen was a telephonist aged 33. Her sister Minnie must be Marion, aged 27. Her brothers were Hugh, aged 24 and a joiner, and John aged 20, a printer compositor. Also present and described as Mary's nieces were Christina, a telephonist aged 27, Jemima, 5 and Jeanie aged 1. Christina (born Biggar) and Jeanie (born Glasgow) have not yet been identified despite having the surname Cree.2

Elizabeth Climie (now Cree) was a housekeeper aged 60. Her son Robert, aged 35, was a coal miner. Her daughter Janet, 29, was a cotton weaver. Elizabeth, 22, was a cotton weaver. Grace, 12, Elizabeth, 10, and Flora, aged 8, were Robert's daughters, his wife having died the previous year.2
