Male, CreeID#11400, (c 1817 - before 1832)
Charts | Line 17. The Perth glovers line Mini-chart 6267 Newtownards Mini-chart 6286 Bangor |
James Cree was born c 1817. This is an estiamte based on his description as "a boy" in 1827.1
It is worth noting that this James Cree was recorded as working at the lead mines at Whitespots, Newtownards, County Down, Ireland. He was listed as a dresser:
Cree, James (a boy) - 22nd. September 1827 - 3s 4d
Cree, James (a boy) 6th. October 1827 - 6 days @4d per day = 2s
and then under Cash Book Entries we have a possible misspelt reference:
Creen, James - 1st. March 1828 - 9s for carting lead to Bangor
I suggest that James Cree is likely to have been a younger brother of the known James Cree.1 James Cree was the son of Andrew Cree Jr and Unknown (---).
James Cree died before 1832. This date is based on the birth date of 1832 of the other James Cree.
